What makes RTFM Capital different?
Our traders are not locked into one market to trade or one trading style. A common mistake that is made in hiring traders is that one style of trading can fit everyone you hire. Nothing could be further from the truth. It takes some time to learn a style of trading that fits your personality. If you are forced to trade a style (or market) that does not suit you well, you will be fighting yourself on every trade. Our experience has proved that the better the fit, the more aggressively the method will be traded.
Multiple markets traded provide opportunity cost. During early 2003, the NASDAQ was roaring and the DOW was lagging. Thus, more volatility was in NASDAQ shares. For the latter months of 2003, the DOW was on fire while the NASDAQ chopped back and forth, reversing the market opportunities.
Multiple styles and strategies practiced. Through mentoring and training, we will match a traders personality to a style of trading.
Proven Core Methodology: Although our traders may not trade the same markets or styles, one thing must be constant which side of the market to be on. We have proven methods of analysis, such as Multiple Time Frame Analysis, Dow Theory, and Tape Reading that can help improve any traders market timing.
Mentoring: A three week training program and then go get em attitude doesnt work anymore. We teach our traders how to stay away from the mediocre low probability trades so they can be aggressive when the good trades present themselves. Mentoring and teamwork on our trading floor can cut the learning curve for a new trader, as well as take an experienced trader to higher, consistent profitability. A mentor will discuss risk tolerance and trade frequency that fits each trader. Consistency in analysis and trade execution is first learned, then profitability will come.
